Martín Hecht

Founder & Managing Partner

Martín founded MH Investment Unit as an extension of a legal practice he has built since 2015 around a single principle: law as a tool for outcomes, not obstacles. Based in Buenos Aires, he has spent a decade working with international clients navigating Argentina's legal, commercial, and regulatory environment — across investment, real estate, company incorporation, business consulting, and immigration.

Within the Investment Unit, he is the person who makes Argentina make sense for foreign investors. He translates the country's legal and commercial complexity into clear entry strategies, structures deals that actually hold, and keeps the pieces moving across legal, financial, and operational fronts. He holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and has had his qualifications recognised internationally — giving him a practical understanding of what cross-border clients actually need from a legal and advisory partner in Argentina.

Brian D. Frontin

Director, Investment Strategy

Brian Frontin is a strategic advisory and investment professional with over 25 years of experience spanning corporate and investment banking, private enterprise, government, and regional advisory work. Within the Investment Unit, he helps lead the technical side of the work, supporting opportunity assessment, commercial evaluation, investor-ready positioning, and practical pathways from initial interest to next-stage execution.

 

He spent 12 years in corporate and investment banking working on senior debt and capital markets transactions, and has since held senior advisory and leadership roles connected to investment promotion, institutional strategy, stakeholder engagement, and multi-party initiatives across the Caribbean and Latin America, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations Population Fund. Based in Buenos Aires, he works across investors, operators, advisors, and institutions throughout the region. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Management Studies from The University of the West Indies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from EMERITUS in collaboration with MIT and Columbia Business School, and is both a Certified Mediator and Accredited Director.

Claire Chavériat

Operations Coordinator

Claire brings over 10 years of experience supporting executives and leadership teams in demanding, fast-moving environments. Before joining the Investment Unit, she held senior executive assistant and office manager roles at main multinational firms, where she built and led the executive assistants team through a period of rapid international growth.
 

Within the Investment Unit, Claire keeps the operational side of every mandate running smoothly. She manages coordination flows, tracks follow-ups, organises communications, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, so the deal team can stay focused on what matters. She works remotely and across time zones, with a multilingual capability that is genuinely useful in a cross-border context.
